unblock Google China

Earlier this month we said that it is going to come. Now it happens. Google has stopped censoring their search results in China, and it is a matter of hours till they are totally banned in China.
Internet users from China that want to access google.com can now use SecuriTales.com to unblock Google from China. SecuriTales works greate from China, and if you find any problem, please send us an email.
Google had also reported that the decision to close Google China, that will probably lead to blocking Google Hong Kong was taken by the Google headquarters in the USA and not by any of the employees in China.
How will that affect the internet users in China? This is yet to be known. On thing for sure, it is going to be interesting!

overriding the great firewall of China

The New York Times has a great article about the ways internet users in China find their ways to access the western world Internet. I really liked the comparison to the Mongol invaders that could not be stopped by the Great Wall of China. The Chinese government is working hard to close the holes in the wall, but with services like SecuriTales and others, this task is getting more and more complicated.

you can now access Facebook from the Pentagon!

The Pentagon gave up and now allows its workers to access Facebook and Twitter from government computers. Isn't that nice!

Access Twitter from Venezuela

These stories come up so fast that it becomes really hard to track.
Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez called on Saturday for regulation of the Internet and as it looks now, Twitter is about to be blocked in Venezuela in the next few weeks.
I find it quite hard to believe that in a very short time millions of people will not be able to access facebook or access twitter any more.
By the end of next month, Securitales will launch a Spanish website in order to support all the Latin America web users that need access to Twitter and Facebook and can not do that because of their governments.
If you live in Venezuela and looking for a way to unblock Twitter, signup to securitales today. you got 1 week free trial.

how to access gmail from Iran

Iran has joined the club and started blocking the access to Gmail.
Internet Users from Iran that want to unblock gmail have no other choice but using secure tunneling software or web proxies like securitales. Ordinary web proxies will probably not work here, since Gmail is loaded with tons of Ajax that will never work with a regular proxy.
The Axis Of Evil countries seem to be working really hard on censoring the internet.
Iran is definately working hard on leading these efforts

Access Google from China

The love afair between Google and the government of China seem to be over, and as it looks now, internet users from China will soon have to find a smart way to connect to Google because the easy way will be blocked.
Illinois Senator Richard Durbin said he plans to introduce a bill that would penalize Internet companies that violate customers' human rights at the demand of foreign governments.
This is a very interesting development in the Google China crisis and it seems like this war didn't even start yet.
4 years google after launching Google China, Google lately announced their new approach to China.
Google had suffered lots of criticisms, saying that helping the Chinese government to censor the Internet does not meet the Google 'do no evil' policy.
Until today Chinese web users could at least use google.cn to get their information from a relatively reliable source. If Google leaves, the market stays in the Baidu hands and this is very sad.
What will happen to the Chinese search engine market? This is yet to be known.
There is one thing we do know. SecuriTales will be there.
